The Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group
– First time exhibitor at the Hannover Messe.

Hannover, 20.04.2008 - For the first time in the history of the Hannover Messe, the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group is represented by four of its companies. Otsuka’s decision to participate in the 2008 Hannover Messe is twofold; Otsuka’s reputation as an innovative company with innovative products makes it a perfect fit for this year’s main exhibition theme of ‘Innovation from Japan’ and also because, since September 2007, Otsuka’s home prefecture of Tokushima has been twinned with the state of Lower Saxony.

With the mission statement 'Otsuka - people creating new products for better health worldwide' Otsuka researches, develops, manufactures and markets innovative, original products, focusing its core businesses on pharmaceutical products for the treatment of disease. Otsuka also manufactures consumer products for the maintenance of everyday health.

At the Hannover Messe, Otsuka is demonstrating a new system for intravenous solution bags (‘One Push’) as well as new chemical compounds and raw materials for industrial use. Samples of several innovative nutraceutical products will also be provided for visitors.

The Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group comprises 99 companies and employs approximately 31,000 people in 18 countries and regions worldwide.
